Each artifact in Tadeo Jones fulfills the characters' yearnings

1st: Immortality /Max
2nd: World domination /Jack
3rd: Recognition /Victoria
4th: Nostalgia (?) /Mummy

Think what you will about the last one, but its motivation strikes me as the most reasonable of the four (1/2)

Max: I wish to be immortal and invincible!
Jack: I wish to be the owner of everything!
Victoria: I wish for them to take me seriously!
Mummy: I wish to return to the time when I had a home, love, and the Spanish conquistadors hadn't arrived yet!

Ironically, it is also the most destructive of the four (2/2)
